Dr. Bae's Story

Meet the friendly staff at Hancock Park Veterinary Clinic!

Doyi Bae

I obtained my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in Korea and came to the US where I completed a clinical year at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.

I was born and raised in South Korea where my grandfather was a farmer and owned many livestock. I always enjoyed visiting his farm from a young age, often helping tend and care for his animals during my visits. When I wasn’t at his farm, one thing I could be found doing at home was watching National Geographic on the TV – developing a fascination for big, wildlife cats. The thought and excitement of helping all these animals that I came to love, along with the caring of small, domesticated animals, eventually resulted in my decision to become a veterinarian.

I started my career here in Los Angeles and through the years have always found myself coming back to the city of LA due to its location and endless options for things to do, food to eat, and people to meet. My professional interests within the field are non-invasive medicine/surgery and diagnostics for small animals. I hope to continue expanding on my veterinary knowledge by learning more about physical therapy and advanced imaging to provide a better quality of life for my furry patients and their owners.

In my free time, I love to spend time with family and friends, travel and experience new cultures/foods, play basketball, watch the NBA, and discover new documentaries and shows on Netflix. I also hope to adopt or rescue a dog in need in the near future to bring along with me on new adventures whether it be hiking, jogging, or visiting the beach for a day.
